Welcome to design being, or db for short.
I’m a designer with a background in product and industrial design of consumer and industrial products. Alongside my commercial work I have a particular interest in design for sustainability (and sustainments) of everyday things/objects/products/services, especially how whilst we design them, they in turn design us. How should we design for this?
“… designing is fundamental to being human - we design, that is to say, we deliberate, plan and scheme in ways which prefigure our actions and makings - in turn we are designed by our designing and by that which we have designed… this adds up to a double movement - we design our world, while our world acts back on us and designs us.” *
Along with the blog is a CV and folio. Recently, I’ve been doing some contract design work and am also developing some self-initiated designs (which is more of a spare-time thing).
Thanks for visiting and please feel free to email me.
